SICK OF COUNTIN' BLADES OF GRASS
SICK OF SITTIN' ON HIS TAIL
MAC CUT LOOSE, HIT THE TRAIL
(from 'Mac' by 'Rabbit Rage', lyrics © Bunnytone Records, 2001)
Mac the rabbit sets off on a voyage of discovery, aided and abetted by a comic crew of critters who help him through a variety of adventures, some funny, some scary, as he comes to understand more and more about the world around him, and the human beings he shares it with.
On the way he meets up with Fern the Deer and the Rabbit Rescue Squad, both of whom have lessons for him, dodges stones from catapults, has conversations with crows and owls, oh, and manages to climb a tree. And rescues Shanghai the Pot-Bellied Pig. But there is still one twist in the tale - or should that be "tail”?
A rattling good yarn like they used to write in the old days, and one which helps teach kids about the relationship between animals and humans, Mac the Rabbit is being published in conjunction with the Mossburn Animal Centre (see www.Mossburn.org) and draws its inspiration from Mac, the centre’s logo, who stands for all the many rabbits and other animals Mossburn has helped through its work since 1987. Copies are available from Mossburn Animal Centre as well as from the King's England Press.
